Well, off to scrap the day away I guess! Our 1st snow day!

Snow Day in March?

I cannot believe I'm sitting here on March 5th waiting to see if we are having our first snow day!!! I can't believe I'm hoping we don't!!!! I'm at the point where I just want to get the year completed and move on!!

Kitchen remodel almost complete!

Painters finished the kitchen this week! WooHoo! All we have left now is the stone backsplash and a new ceiling fan.  That is until I talk my hubby into knocking out that wall and putting in the bar I want!! LOL! I'm getting closer!
Of course after last nights numerous tornado warnings, I thought my beautiful new kitchen, stainless appliances and all would get blown away! Luckily we made it out without even a lost tree! Same for daughter Lauren in Richmond.  Praise God for miracles.  Horrible storms! Other parts of our state not so lucky!
Well, chores are fairly caught up, heading to run errands, and then scrap booking! That's the plan anyway! son home from college, so I have a feeling my plans may take a detour!

Forget what I said about being over wanting a snow day... Could really use one.  Looks like maybe next Monday????

Productive Weekend

Busy yet productive weekend, and I'm not finished yet! Completed and shipped several items for my etsy shop TheWeekendCrafter ...all caught up on my sold items now.  Cleaned out some cabinets, cleaned in general of course.  A never ending thing when the kids are home for the weekend from college.  Actually made a home-cooked meal Saturday (after listening to the kids complain about not having anything to eat for dinner Friday night!) Oh, almost forgot, proctored the district Academic meet Saturday morning for my school. Found and made several new things for Dr. Seuss week at school this week! So excited! One of my favorite teaching weeks! Oops! New sale on etsy, need to knit up a scarf and gloves this week now too! LOL! Well, it's 10 am, still planning on getting caught up on some scrapbooking and listing some items on ebay.  So much to do, so little time.....Now if only I didn't have to go to this thing called WORK tomorrow.......

Meet our new class pets

Meet our new class pets, Shelly and Myrtle. Shelly is the wild and crazy photogenic one.  Myrtle is a little camera shy.  She likes to hide under the rock! We've rescued a 3rd turtle since I made this post... Franklin.  His family gave him up because the grandchild wasn't interested in him.  Shelly and Myrtle welcomed Franklin with open flippers.
